Anitha joined Wisteria in June 2026 and works within the Tax department.
Anitha studied Media Science in Germany and AAT in Harrow College. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her kids and loves her regular trips to Germany to visit her family and friends.
What led you to pursue a career in your current role, and how did you get started in the field?
After completing my studies in Media Science in Germany, I moved to London and was unsure about which career path to pursue. My relatives suggested that I study AAT, which I decided to do. While studying, I worked in the media industry as an Office Administrator, where I was involved in bookkeeping and payroll-related tasks. Through this experience, I discovered a strong interest in payroll. As a result, I decided to focus my career on payroll, and I have been working in the field ever since.
What do you enjoy most about your job, and what do you find most challenging?
 I enjoy the variety of work involved in payroll, from processing salaries and pensions to resolving queries and ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements. I also like that payroll is constantly evolving, which gives me opportunities to keep learning and developing my knowledge.
What do you believe are the most important qualities for success in your current role, and how do you strive to embody those qualities in your work?
I believe the most important qualities for success in payroll are attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, strong communication skills, and a commitment to continuous learning. Payroll is a role where even small errors can have a significant impact on employees and businesses, so it is essential to be thorough and ensure all calculations and processes are correct.
I strive to embody these qualities by carefully checking my work, staying up to date with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements, and maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues.
