Personal Assistant to Directors

Hours: 40 hours p/w, Full Time

The Company

The Wisteria Group is made up of Wisteria Limited a firm of Chartered Tax Advisers and Wisteria Audit Ltd a firm of Chartered Accountants and registered auditors based in North West London.  We provide a wide range of services to businesses and individuals, mainly either in the London area or international businesses operating in the UK.  The firm has been well established trading for 18 years and has approximately 20 staff and has seen significant year on year growth.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first class secretarial and administrative support to the Directors of the firm. The firm prides itself on having a modern forward looking approach and is seeking to recruit an individual who shares the same positive outlook.

The Role

  • The successful candidate will be responsible in providing complete and confidential administrative support to the Directors.
  • Duties include but are not limited to:
    • Be the first point of contact to internal and external stakeholders for the Directors of the firm
    • Answering telephone and face to face queries where appropriate and handling a range of conflicting priorities
    • Efficient diary & email management and coordination of calendars
    • Supporting with new client acquisition and taking responsibility for all associated on-boarding tasks
    • Supporting office management activities, including when Office Manager is on lunch break / away from the office
    • Using a range of practice management, workflow management and accounting software such as CCH, VC & Glide.  Prior experience with this software is not essential.
    • Preparation of documentation and presentations for board meetings
    • Ad hoc projects, proposal documents and research tasks
    • Personal administrative and organisational tasks on behalf of the directors



  • Qualifications
    • Minimum Grade B in GCSE Mathematics and English Language (or equivalent).
  • Experience
    • Previous experience working in an administrative/PA role with at least 3 years’ experience.


  • Good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet Directors’ needs.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with senior management
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior experience working in an accountancy or professional services firm.
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity of CCH is an advantage
  • Understanding of GDPR regulations


  • The successful candidate will be expected to communicate confidently with clients directly, so excellent spoken and good written English skills are a requirement.
  • A professional, enthusiastic and responsible approach are required, as well as being able to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
  • The role includes the requirement to carry out research and review complex legislation at times, therefore an eye for detail is also important.
